It’s that week again. The week that prior to last Thursday, everyone was hoping was going to be the biggest game in the Western Athletic Conference in a long time.

But, it’s the wild, wild WAC and things change. Both New Mexico State and Grand Canyon got beat up pretty bad on Thursday. The Aggies and Lopes both lost by 25 points at Sam Houston and Stephen F. Austin. And for good measure, Grand Canyon lost at Sam Houston on Saturday while New Mexico State beat Stephen F. Austin.

So, now both the Lopes and Aggies go head-to-head on Saturday in Las Cruces. It is a must-win situation for the Lopes according to Adam Young. And for the Aggies, they haven’t lost a WAC game at home under Chris Jans. So, something has to give.

Here is the preview, thoughts and some hot takes on this weekly episode of New Mexico State basketball.
