Perhaps it was the physicality. Or maybe one team overlooked the other. Whatever it was, Stephen F. Austin made a statement with a 71-46 win over Grand Canyon on Thursday night at Johnson Coliseum.

Jovan Blacksher Jr. kept GCU in the game in the first half with 18 points. In fact, SFA led just 32-31 at the break.

And then slowly, and painfully for GCU, the wheels started to come off in the second half. SFA put on the defensive clamps and continued to twist the dagger over and over again until the final horn blew.
