On Wednesday morning, the WAC announced the scheduling format for the 2020-21 conference season. The presidents of each institution voted on a format that will reduce safety hazards and possible transmission of Covid-19.
Here is what the release from the WAC says.
“For basketball, the conference portion of the schedule will begin on Jan. 7 and will feature back-to-back games against the same opponent at the same site. Each team will host four opponents and travel to four opponents over the course of nine weeks. The WAC Basketball Tournaments are set for March 10-13 at Orleans Arena in Las Vegas.”
Unfortunately, the home-and-home scenario is not going to happen this season. The actual schedule will come at a later time. However, the format is set and now the conference schedule can be put together.

The nine-week schedule will be a double round-robin with back-to-back matches between the same two teams at the same site.
