There are two games on Wednesday night. Utah Valley travels to the Emerald City to take on Seattle U at Climate Pledge Arena. And California Baptist plays host to Dixie State.

The Redhawks have flown under the radar a bit. But don’t let that fool you. Seattle returns All-WAC performers Riley Grigsby and Darrion Trammell. And Seattle added Cameron Tyson to form the ‘Big 3’ per se. Along with these three, Seattle U has some size they can throw at Utah Valley big man Fardaws Aimaq. Brandton Chatfield came over from Washington State and Kobe Williamson is also back for the Redhawks.

However, I am leaning Utah Valley +1.5 in this contest. Fardaws Aimaq has proven that no matter who you throw at him, he is going to get his numbers. A lot of that is because the Wolverines are shooting much better from the perimeter and have multiple role players who can knock down shots.

I am also leaning the over of 141 because both teams shoot at a high clip. It should be a fun one on ESPN+ at 8 p.m. MT.

The second game of the night features a pair of teams winless in WAC play thus far. California Baptist is coming off a bad loss at Chicago State. Dixie State is coming off a rivalry loss at Utah Valley. So, something has to give. The Lancers will most likely be without star freshman guard Taran Armstrong who is still battling an illness. And Dixie State lacks some depth in the paint. I still am going to lean Dixie State and the points.

The Trailblazers can score especially when they take care of the basketball. And it’s not like Lancers force a ton of turnovers. And I am going to lean on the under of 151. Both teams are on a short week and are familiar with one another so I don’t know that this will turn into a track meet.
